12V DC Power Jack Plug Female

These panel mounted DC power jacks fit standard DC power plugs for adding a DC power input jack to an enclosure.

These DC power jacks are designed to be mounted into panels up to 0.312″ thick.  They use a mounting hole of about 15/32″ and come with the nut to attach the jack to a panel.

There are 3 solder connections on the back of the jack.  Two are for the positive and negative (Ground) connections.  The third connection is a plug detect output.  When no plug is inserted, the pin is shorted to the ground connection.  When a plug is inserted, the pin is open circuit.  This can be useful for some applications, but is typically not used.
